Trained with students and teachers at Japan Sports Science University in particular, but other universities and private and company dojos
Has trained in Sydney (1980~1985) and A.C.T. (1985~1991 – life member of ANU Kendo Club)
Founder of Monash University Kendo Club (1991)
Instructs Kendo at CMAC (present)
Held various positions on committees within national and state organisations that oversee Iaido, Jodo and Kendo
Stilts is ranked 4th Dan Kendo, 1st Dan Iaido, 1st Dan Jodo
