Kurt Tancredi has been training in martial arts for about 25 years. His primary focus has been Jujutsu and Judo where he earned the ranks of 4th Dan Jujutsu and 1st Dan Judo. Kurt’s journey has seen him train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and American Kenpo Karate. Kurt is now also training in Jodo (Japanese short wooden staff).
Kurt is a certified member of the prestigious Japanese organisation Dai Nippon Butoku Kai based in Kyoto Japan where he was promoted to 4th Dan Renshi Jujutsu and 1st Dan Judo.
Kurt has attended seminars and trained in Germany, France and Japan. Major career highlights have been:
- Being awarded the Shogo Title of Renshi from the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai
- Being a member of the Australian team that demonstrated Jujutsu to the Japanese Princess Akiko at the Butokuden in Kyoto Japan.
- Demonstrating Jujutsu and Judo to the DNBK Japanese Honbu Sensei at a Taikai in France.
- Being selected to assist Yves Raemackers, Hanshi 8th Dan Judo to demonstrate Judo at the Taikai in France
