I started martial arts at the age of 16 and my first art was Zen Do Kai Karate which I trained for 18 months. I had a break for other sports and family commitments but started back when I was 30. I trained for 2 years in Tong kune do with Lawrence Lee from Sydney, then 3 years of Wing Chun with William Chung school. In 1993 I began Ju-Jitsu training with Anthony Flask at Combat Ju-Jitsu. The dojo changed to Progressive Ju-Jitsu where I received my 1st Dan in 1999. I taught at Kinjite Ju Jitsu dojo in Sunshine with Emmanuel Zahra until I formed my own dojo – “Bushido Ju-Jitsu” which is a mix of Wing Chun and Japanese Ju-Jitsu. Over the last 16 years I have been teaching at my dojo and studying other martial arts through seminars etc.
